I have this Sears mower with a vlv66 series engine that has developed a serious oil leak when it warms up. I suspected the valve cover gasket and replace it but same problem. ????? I hate to disassemble the entire engine cause it starts and runs fine. Maybe it is the breather tube clogged up? How is this accessed or replaced? I can't see how the crank case is vented.:frown:

I had a similar problem, it was with the valve cover too. Found out there are 2 gaskets under the cover. There was one under the cover plate and one more beyond that under another plate. Not real obvious to look at on first glace, or after replacing the first one (still leaked :thumbdown. Looked the engine up on PartsTree.com and saw what I was missing. Replaced both, problem solved. Just a thought.
