This should be simple but it has not. I am looking for a carburetor cover or heater box for my Tecumseh H35-45515k 3.5HP Serial #81912 engine. The trick is, it has the horizontal choke and the throttle is tight against the engine. I am attaching a picture or two that should explain. I have already searched the internet and talked to the local tecumseh dealers. I would really appreciate any help ya'll could offer.

I was working on one not too long ago as I remember it was a cover that went over the carburetor with a external choke. I really don't understand why they use the two chokes on the Ariens snow-blower. As you said it seems like it would be easy to find one. Is there any mower salvage yards around where you live?

There is one guy that scraps them out and sells the parts individually but, he seemed to know exactly what I needed and said he does not have the one for a horizontal choke.

I guess I don't understand from the picture it looks vertical just like any Tecumseh carburetor I have seen with the lever on top. Even the intake manifold looks right for a Ariens snow blower. As I recall it just was a cover that went over the carburetor. The part that goes over the front of the carburetor intake is a external choke. That gos through the cover with a spring and plastic knob with a round disc for the choke. For some reason the Ariens has two chokes.

By "horizontal choke" I meant horizontal choke lever. As opposed to the one that goes out the top of the cover.

What you have is normal and on every Tecumseh or Ariens I have ever seen. Your best bet would be to look at one that is all together. As I keep telling you Ariens has two chokes and the one you are looking at isn't used.
