TB625 EC Pull Start No Resistance While Pulling String

My Troy Bilt TB675 needs to be fixed but I'm not sure where to start. I'm sure it's something I can fix I'm just not sure where to start.

Last week I was trying to pull start it and I heard a snap (like something broke). I pulled one more time on the string and sure enough there was zero resistance. The string recoils back into the engine but it doesn't sound like it's turning anything inside the engine as I pull the string out.

Any ideas or advice would be great.

How about the model number of the mower from the sticker on the deck as well as the model number information off of the engine itself. That way we know what you are working on.

Serial number of both would help also, that way we can tell what year we are needing to assist you on.

Put an allen wrench in the electric start hole and turn and see if the engine turns with it.
