I was doing fine mowing yesterday when all of a sudden my mower deck turns off, as if I slipped off the seat. I don't think it's the PTO switch because when I engage the PTO and attempt to get off the seat, the mower shuts off. So the circuit is open when I get off the seat but closed when I get back on when I have the PTO engaged.
Re-read my manual but I'm not seeing if there is another fail-safe switch for safety that I can inspect. What else should I check to troubleshoot where else I can see what might be the culprit? thx, sam
Check PTO wire harness plug making sure it's tight & secure. You may need to adjust air gap at PTO clutch. Remove key from ignition first for Safety. Let us know how it goes, thanks.
