My Hustler Sport didn't come with a striping kit and I've been thinking about building my own. I'm thinking either using chain to hang a link or two down from the back of the mower or using some rubber - like an old heavy duty mud flap.

Which do you think would work best?

Mud flap. Chain will do little to nothing.

I got a heavy duty rubber mat at Home Depot. It weighs a ton. I cut it to size and pull it behind my mower like a ground dragging mudflap. Works great!

Thanks guys, sounds like I'm making a trip to Home Depot then.

I just sandwiched it between some angle iron and bolted it to the "bumper".
