I just recently got a FC44 and curious about some action I am seeing from it.

the edger takes awhile to get cranked and running and in order stay running I need to leave the choak/run adjustment in the middle of the selector. If I move to run it dies. Also while holding it in the air while running, it sounds like it running as it should (compared to my new STHIL weedeater) but as soon as I touch earth with it it bogs down and almost dies. I need to slowly work it into the ground and go real slowly forward.

I figured I would check here before I take it in for service, because I am worried the service on the old edger will cost me about as much as a new edger.

Please If left any information out ask and I will provide.

thanks in advance for any info, suggestions or advice.

** I was watching a video on replacing the primer bulb and they mentioned it not starting so good anymore due to the crack. well mine is cracked could that be the source of my problems?
