My starter went bad and i wanted to know if you could bump/push start a riding lawnmower

No, not on a lawn tractor.
An actual gear transmission & clutches with pressure plate on an Older Garden Tractor you could.... But mowers, even those with gear drive transmissions have Belts linking the transmissions to the engines, can't reverse the drive direction because the idler will be on the Wrong side of the set up for the trans to turn the engine... :smile:KennyV

Ive seen people mount pulleys on the top of the motor to use a rope and pull start them - maybe could use a drill motor and socket on the flywheel nut - i wouldnt reccomend taking the screen off completely tho - keeps debris off the motor.

Might want to look on CL for a used tractor cheep for motor parts- ive picked up clunkers for $25 before.

its ok i made a pull start i took one of one of my old 6.5 hp briggs and stratton gokart motor
