My mower dies when the brake is released with the engine running. What is the problem? Help!

Most common cause is a seat switch or associated wiring harness problem.

Does it run just fine with the brake on? If it does, check the safety switch.

IF you are needing to mow your yard, locate and disconnect the "kill" wire at the engine, mow your yard then check safety switches one by one.
