My neighbor swears by Scott's lawn and garden products, but I've never had much luck with their items. Particularly the items for lawn care. Does anyone else feel the same either way ?

Anymore, I just buy what's on sale.
I couldn't swear there's any difference between brands. Scott's seems to be one of the pricier brand names.

i have had 2 of them my first one was great it was a self propelled model it had the 6.5 T.C motor on it ..I gave it to my dad he still has it ...The second one was a 6.5 hp brigs intek on it i was not to happy with it to be honest it blew the head gasket and the rocker arm popped off the push rod ..All this happened with a 2 year span of it being new ..it s a hard call but then again all brands have one model that is umm not to good ..

I have their tow behind fertilizer seed broadcast spreader... one of the best...

As for the Briggs head gasket problems ... I have heard of that on some of their engines, I just wonder if they have had head bolt torque problems intermittently ...

We tend to go with Scott's a lot. We've had pretty good luck with whatever product we've purchased. As they say, no complaints, no pain! :}
