2003 John Deere L2048. What does this sound like to you guys? I took the belt off the electric pto and its dead quite with it off, I believe how its supposed to be. I only feel a tiny little bit of play in one of the small idler pulleys. Everything else is nice and tight. Sounds electronic to me.

This is the one I did the motor swap in.

Put a rock on a rope and wizz it around your head.
Does it make a sound ?

Now the belt is spinning several bearings . the blades are spinning & pumping air, all of which will make noise.
Pull the deck out and turn every pulley by hand.
they should turn freely , smoothly & quietly
Grab the blades at the ends and try to rock them see saw style very hard, there should be no play.
Grab the pulley on top and try to pull it up, push it down again no play is what you should find.
Check the belt for polished sections, cracks or missing lumps.
