I know just how long it takes to properly service a mower, near 2 to 3 times the hours I charge for.
However they did not quote for an overhaul, just for fixing a leak and we have no idea if it is a gasket, oil seal of just the dip stick O ring.

The readers here that are or have been good mechs and those that have been or still are service managers know what I'm talking about.
Having been an FAA certified aircraft mech for many years but now retired, my service opinions are somewhat biased having been held to a much higher standard of service than other service oriented industries.
I now do select power equipment service work as a hobby and for sure don't make any money doing it. I do have the satisfaction of delivering a fully serviced machine to a select customer. I do know that Scag Turf Tigers can be more time consuming to service compared to some vertical shaft Scag and other makes of ZTR machines.
