does anyone know what makes a kawasaki dfi engine surge and not run at a smooth idle or at half throttle someone said it was ( hunting )

I have seen some of those have problems with the ignition modules. If it is the old style they have a kit to replace them, not cheap though.

The kawasaki engine on this scag is a DFI System. Which it really dont have a ignition system per say every thing is run through computer or ecu
