My backyard is infested with pill bugs. You know those bugs that roll up into a ball when they get scared. Do these little bugs cause any harm or should I get rid of them? My kids love collecting them so I'm just a wondering.

They are harmless but if you want to reduce their numbers, minimize moisture.

As far as I know they are harmless. Are you having any other indicators that you have too much moisture in your yard? If not, I would leave them "bee".

Fortunately, I haven't seen those around here. I didn't know that's why they rolled up, because they were scared. That's sad actually. It brings out the animal lover in me.

Other than being annoying they don't cause any harm and the kids love them so let them stay. If you have a lot of wood or brush piled up I would clear that out or if you have lots of rocks because they love hiding under those spots.
