Just purchased a mower with a rear discharge deck. It's a John Deere 1435, and I like it, but after mowing, the underside of the tractor is a mess! Grass gets thrown into every possible nook and cranny including the engine compartment, around the trans-axel, and other places. It's a real chore to clean up using my hands and a shop vac.
Has anyone else experienced this with their rear discharge deck, and did you find a solution to the problem? Has anyone ever devised a "curtain" or "shield" to prevent the grass from being thrown all over the underside?
I would appreciate your comments and recommendations.
