I am thinking about buying a Ransomes 6000 from a freind. The only problem is the 4 wheel drive is not working, and thats the no 1 feature i was wanting this mower for. I have some steep banks I need to mow, my old mower slips up on these. Any idea what would be the fix for this problem?

How can we answer this question with no description of what it is doing? 4 wheel drive mot working gives very little to go on. Is it the front wheels not working or the back wheels. Or is it only one wheel on each side not working? Is there a noise when it is not working? Do you have to manually engage the 4 wheel drive? is it full time 4 wheel drive?
