Some of those mufflers have a screen that will get carbon clogged. May want to check that. Can remove muffler and try to start and see what happens. Will be loud and may shoot out flames when running. On some saws the screen is external and you pull in out after removing couple screws. On some the screen is internal and could require replacing the muffler.

And as always with blue smokes. try a fresh plug, best warmed .
It is very very easy to fllod a small engine with carb cleaner or starting fluid .

Remove spark plug. Set control lever to OFF position. Turn saw upside down and pull rope a dozen or so times. Install a NEW spark plug. Spray a very small amount of starting fluid into carb. Don't choke it. Try to start saw. Does it fire?
