hey guys I have a craftsman ys 4500 and as u all kno its similar to so many others but anyway, my fix is this recently I just got this and the deck was never level,
so after hours of trying to deal with what was under there where u could only adjust one side and front, I came up with an idea, take off the passengers rear tire pull the rod off that slides on that side and replace with a piece of all-rod, make same bends as rod u pull out and cut off about an inch and a half longer than old one and a washer and nut then u can adjust both sides even, worked perfect for me hopes it helps u guys out

My fix for the same problem was to buy an additional adjusting mechanism (same as the one on the left side) and install it on the right side. Now you have the ability to adjust either side. Makes it much easer to do.

yep me I`m just cheap lol

I have the same mower, I pull onto level concrete and tape measure each side to the ground and get it the same and 1/4 inch lower in the front and it cuts perfect. Probably takes ten minutes.
