hey bought this at a yard sale no idea what year/model it is if anyone could lend a hand figuring it out would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance. :)

I'd recommend calling MTD and giving them the serial number and a description and they should be able to date it for you.

All joking aside, it looks like there have been a number od Yardman 1238 tractors made in a variety of models, including one that has four wheel steering! Is there any way you can read the model number on that sticker? It looks pretty well worn off..

Good luck with your research. I'm sure if you keep at it, you'll come across something useful..
