Noise In transaxle

I have a LA105 John Deere mower with 514 hours on it. I have started hearing a winning noise from the trans axle. It looks like it is a sealed unit does it have oil in it or just packed with grease. Would like to repair it if possible.

They usually do not make much noise
If the whine is still there with the mower in neutral then it is most likely one of the idler pulleys and not the transmission.
Generally manual transmissions graunch & grind when they are on the way out

I am petty sure that the wine is in the Trans. I don’t hear it has bad when it is a load on it but coasting I do. Does it have oil or grease in it.

If the IPL is correct you have a manual Peerless transaxle and it uses 00 grease which I sub for the Bentonite grease.
