Came to the forum looking for help on a 5 year old Cub SLTX1054. After about a half hour of cutting I lose forward and reverse. Brand new belt. New idler pulley. Shop has it now. I'm waiting for the "you need a new transaxle call". My 2 acres are mostly flat except for culverts. Errrrrrrrr.

I'm going to move this thread over to our Cub Cadet section.
Someone over there should be able to offer advice.
Well wait no more.
Take the tranny out, drain the oil put some nice fresh oil in there, bleed it carefully , some times it might take several hits.
If it still looses power when hot then the tranny pump / motor is worn beyond use.
Removed the tranny and found a leaking seal. Replaced and refilled. No change. Not a happen camper. New transmission is on its way. This is my third tractor. Never had this before on my older and cheaper machines. I guess they were all versions from MTD. This top shelf MTD is costing me more than the other two combined! Ouch!
