Hi folks. I am new to small engine repair and have a small Kohler single-cylinder horizontal shaft engine I'm trying to identify. The identification plate has worn beyond reading. There are no discernable model numbers or serial numbers to go by. I think it might be a K series but it doesn't seem to look exactly like any of the pics of that series I've seen.

Anyone able to ID this engine for me? I need to track down a carb for it.

My guess would be a K91 or K181, with a gear reduction attached. Both can be fitted with a fuel pump. I'm leaning toward K91.

Look at the head, if it is a K91 the cylinder head will have six bolts, and the K181 will have seven.
