I have a new Husqvarna MZ52LE zero turn mower. The mower deck belt came off and I can't get it back on. No matter how much I move the spring loaded pully the belt will not fit in place over the other the other pully. It's a stiff and heavy belt but it seems it to short. I know that put it on at the factory but I would like to know the trick for me to get it back on.
Check on the deck there should be a belt run diagram .
Check that the belt is actually on the pulleys and not on the outside of the keepers.
Remember than the v runs in the V's and the back of the belt runs on the flat pulleys.
You might need to use a puller ( ratchet tie downs work well ) of some kind to move the tension spring far enough to get enough slack to to get the belt on.
Whatever you do never use a screwdriver to lever the belt on or run it over the edge of the pulley and rotate the pulley to get it on.
Both of these practices can damage the rubber under the outer cover then suddenly the belt will fail and they aint cheap.
