a 2006...the model number says its a 2000...but the engine and tranny have 2006 dates....weird....bought it for $119! ...all i had with me!:tongue:...tecumseh 17.5 hp.....6sp Varidrive..42" deck...aint pretty..but in good tight condition....havent decided what kind of paintjob yet...it might look good in olive drab!?....its much better built than my little red MTD...and the quietest mower i have!

Most of these mowers have universal parts, so maybe you have a drivetrain swap or the panel with the tag is from a 2000 MTD.
