I use to have a Murray rider. I would move the black plastic piece and move the deck height selector all the way down. Loosen knobs on both sides then push lift links down on each side. Tighten knobs up and move deck height selector back up to normal. I would fine tune height if needed after a few cuts. Need to have a level place to do this at.
