By looking at the photo's I'd say the grass wasn't or hasn't established itself yet. How long has it been down? When you installed it did you install rolls or cut sod and it should have been rolled after installation. What Gravely are you using to cut it with?

Well it's been down about 6 weeks. Problem is I got chinch bugs real bad so that kind of set us back. So to answer it was having a problem rooting and still am really bad on the north bridge . The gravely is a zt 60 hd.

Unfortunately everywhere I read said It didn't need to be rolled and so did the sod people. I knew I probably should of and really regret it now. It was laid it in 2x7 strips or whatever exact size they are. Thanks for the help. I have been watering it to death. An hour at around 630pm then another hour at 6am. But in Oklahoma here now it's about 110 heat index today. Sorry if the pics aren't great I was using an iPad and didn't seem to work very well bc of sizing limits.
