I had to remove the clutch spring on my Riding Mower to replace the cluch pulley. Is there a trick to reinstalling the clutch spring? Not enough room to get a set of vise grips to lock on to the front of the spring and trying to pull the spring to length and then snapping it into the frame is a real chore. I notice there is a hole at the front of the frame in line with the spring and guess there is some kind of tool used for this.

I use a long screw driver put the end in the hole hook spring to driver and pry it on up to the hole. Or use a ratchet strap one end on spring other end on frame. You won't get it the first time it takes some practice
