Manual PTO to Electric?

I have a JD L111 that has a 20hp Briggs Vtwin and has manual PTO. Its missing the deck and someone destroyed the wiring harness on it. Today, I bought a Scotts JD, with deck, that had the same motor but was removed and has electric pto. PO gave me the electric PTO with it. SO. is this a direct swap or will it even work?

Well, let's see. You give us no information but want an answer how is that done?
Model number off of both engines is a necessity.

If the PTO shafts on the two engines are the same diameter then the only other problem will be the output of the alternator.
Decause mowers are built down to a price manual PTO engines generally have a low output alternator which means the battery can run flat if you do a lot of starts or the whole things just stops when the battery runs out of juice.
I have customers running with no alternators becaue they are a tad expensive down here. We put a charging jack on the mower and it gets hooked up to a battery tender when in the shed.

Did my first motor swap today! Havent tried it out yet but I did bump the starter. The pto swap was perfect fit and bolted right on.

Wire harness connectors where all the same, exhaust tubes were the same etc...

The voltage regulator wires were ripped off the regulator but like the motor in my "bad starter motor?" thread, there is no connector for it anywhere and the stator is plugged in at the same harness location as the other one as well.

Tomorrow I am changing the oil and filter, plugs, fuel filter and plugs.

Should fire up if the carb isn't gummed up.

Also, the breather tube that goes from the fuel pump to the valve cover is ripped. Need to find a replacement.
