LX 188 motor dies.

I have a LX 188 John Deer. When I let off the brake. The motor dies.

What about when you lift off the seat?

My JD...if you are NOT in the seat, the mower dies if the brake is not on.

possible seat switch problem. mower thinks you are not on the seat.

There are several safety switches, a seat switch, a brake switch, sometimes even a fuel shut off switch, or an oil pressure safety switch. Check the seat and brake switch for corrosion and jump the circuit just to make sure it's not the switch.


Sorry for saying switch so much
