Engine Loss of power when engaging blades

Hi all,

I have a Husky 1842 and it's losing power when I engage the blades, I've had the deck off and V-belts to blades are OK. I've taken the blade drive belt off and power still drops when I engage blade power. Mower drives fine at full revs until blades are engaged.
Any advice appreciated.

Check idler pulley bearings for being worn out, you will need to remove them to check center bearings in pulleys.
