I am new to this forum but have used Lawnboys for some years.
I have a Lawnboy 7073 that the gas tank has split at the seam. Is this repairable?
If this can be repaired and the engine rebuilt (someone sucked grit past the air cleaner) can it be mounted on a 8231 deck that I have? The deck mounting hole and bolt pattern are larger on this deck but it looks like an adapter plate could be made.
I'd "give it a go" using an epoxy formulated for plastics.
Probably better to use a new tank, but this is a challenge,an opportunity to display one's DIY skills - epoxy is great...
