craftman 6000 garden tractor kohler 27 hp engine died found it has a direct short pulled starter an it benchtested good pulled the key switch must of broke it got a new one heard if i disconected the white wire on the kolher an the short is still there then its with the kohler Oh it will start an run with the charger on 200 amps any less she dies. what should I check next?
I'm sure this will be moved to a better place than New Members ....but if you have been feeding a short 200 amps... your trouble shooting should be easy... replace the burnt up bits and the n repair the short... 'There is nothing on any engine that will stand that much current without going up in smoke...

Just replace the shorted bits!
