my Kohler Command 12.5 is running rough, when ever im driving it loses power, bogs down, and backfires. anyone know what this is?

Could be dirty carb, valves need adjustment, needs a plug, coil going bad, or maybe a partly sheared flywheel key. Do you remember hitting anything that might have dinged a blade or stalled then engine?
