Have a 1994 Craftsman 50" riding mower with a CV22s-67515 Kohler engine. The mower starts up fine but after running for 15 or 20 minutes it dies while cutting or not cutting grass. When I try to restart it turns over fine but no start. I put gas in the carb and still want start.
Took the plugs out turned engine over to dry out cylinders, reinserted spark plugs still nothing.
Have spark at plugs but don't know how much voltage. Will check with multimeter when it dies again.
Replaced the ignition modules as most small engine repair guys around here tell me my coil is the problem.
Checked the carb selinoid and it is functioning fine.
Changed oil and put in high mileage 30 weight still nothing.
So it has to be electrical as I put gas in the carb when it dies and it want start.
I even jumped the switch under the seat and still nothing.
I made sure the gas cap breather hole was clear as well.
I put on a new fuel, air, and oil filter still nothing.
I put on a new starter selinoid and still nothing.
I checked all fuses and they are good.
Now what have I missed? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
