Hi
My kohler had a blow out the other day. I started it up and smoke just bellowed out like crazy. It leaked all the oil out of the engine after it was shut off and sat. I pulled off one valve cover and ther was A LOT of oil and gas in the valve cover. Not sure what happened maybe a combination of things. Any expertise help would be appreciated ?

Sounds to me like your float needle is not stopping fuel flow into the carburetor when the bowl gets full, and then it has filled up your crankcase with a gas/oil mix..
pull your dipstick and smell it and take note of the level.
either Rebuild or Replace the carburetor.
Give me the Model number (which you did, SV725) and the Spec number which is the 4 digits after the model number and i can get you the P/N for the float repair kit which includes a New float, New needle etc..
it should be 24 757 44-S , but give me the spec so i can be sure.
You will want to drain your engine oil, buy some cheap oil, run it for a bout 5 minutes, drain it, repeat. 2 or 3 times to get all of the gas out... not worth leaving some in.
on the final change use your favorite oil and New filter.
