This motor is running lean, I have checked the carburator, and the fuel shut off sol. I replaced the fuel pump because it was failing but the motor still seems to be running lean and hot! It has a plastic intake, have there been problems with these manifolds , cracking, leaking, etc.

Lean running could indicate a vacuum leak possibly as your post mentions from a cracked manifold.
