i have a velke walkbehind mower. It starts right up but when it starts a big puff of white smoke comes out. As its running it still uasually smokes. I just changed the oil and it is at the correct level. Any ideas why this is happening? its a kawasaki engine.

Check the oil for gasoline contamination .
Most walk behinds need a fuel shut off valve now . Crappy ethanol gas attracts water . Water is heavier than gas and pushes its way past the carb into an open engine valve -
Add the couple dollar shut off - change the oil ASAP .

I do have a shutoff so if I leave that off will it help? The oil was just changed and it did it before and after I changed it.
