My John Deere LX186 riding mower will barely move in reverse and only on level ground after it has been running about 10 minutes. I just bought this machine used. It was like that when I bought it but I got it at a good price. It has the Kawasaki 17hp air cooled engine and hydrostatic transmission.
I added oil (hydraulic jack oil) to the transaxle after being told it was acceptable. That didn't really help much. Any ideas would be appreciated.
