Hello all,
New to the forum and looking forward to some much needed help. :smile:
Sears Craftsman ZT 7000 Zero- Turn Rear Engine Rider w/ Electric Start
Briggs & Stratton
Model = 40H777
Type = 0242E2
Code = 040617YG
Motor Mfg: Briggs & Stratton
Horsepower = 22
Size = 50" Mower
USAGE:
Mow approx 1 to 1.5 acres grass every 7-14 days depending upon the season. Do not mow when grass is wet. Mower deck blade side is cleaned, sprayed with deck spray, oiled and greased on a regular basis. Mower is serviced for all filters and oil change once a year.
ISSUES:
-Belts breaking frequently. The Mower Drive Belt has broken three times within a short period of time. The most recent lasting only 2.5 months. Arbor belt has broken once.
-When I engage mower forward, with or without blades engaged, it is jerking, just like a stick shift car if you let the clutch out too fast. Even when I ease slowly forward, it still jerks. Any ideas?
-I am on my third battery within 18 months. It seemed as though the battery was being pulled down within one or two mowings, then had to be charged to start. Eventually it would not hold a charge. It would not hold proper cold cranking Amps. This last battery has not had that problem. What are the chances I got two bad batteries in a row vs. a problem with the mower pulling battery down?
Thanks in advance,
-Michelle
