Husqvarna TC338 ride on on/off cut switch failure

Hi all, I have a Husqvarna C338 ride on lawnmower, where the blade mechanism disengages intermittently, and then if you push and pull the blade switch, will activate again. Do these switches fail ??, The mower is stored in a dry shed when not in use, and is well looked after. Any help would be very much appreciated.
