I HAVE A HUSQVARNA 44 CHAIN SAW WITH A SERIAL # 6141412, WITH A BLACK TOP COVER, WANTING TO KNOW YEAR IT WAS BUILT TO BUY PARTS, CAN SOMEONE HELP.THANKS

no the medal plate only has the numbers 6141412 on it, very clear

I believe that Husqvarna 44 was made in about 1988, give or take about a year. You might have to look for used parts. If you decide to not fix it, then part it out, because its a good saw and others would be grateful.

I did some more checking and found it to be a 1985-11 ,so you are right ,I also was able to buy parts needed ,its a nice little saw .Thanks for all your help .jim

it doesn't say rancher on it just 44, so im not sure if it is a rancher, it has a gray cover

my 40 / 42 parts book is from 1989 so around that time seems reasonable.

I don't think the parts changed much and Husky parts books are on the web all over the place.
