New Honda HRX Mower owner. Have a question on the handlebar and the two spring loaded locking knobs used to allow folding of the handlebar.
The knobs appear to have play in them so that I can rock the handlebar up and down about an inch in total. Normal? I did look at a few floor models at my dealer and his HRX and HRS models all seem to show this. But I figure I throw the question out there.
It should rock a little. I believe you can tighten the Torq screw a little which may help. The older units had a plastic knob that could keep it real tight. Anyway try that.
I'm a new HRX217HYA owner. I don't have any play in the handlebar. The spring loaded knobs work well.

Mine has about an 1/16" to 1/8" movement. This is because the pin that secures in the hole is slightly smaller than the hole. I would consider the amount of movement to be normal for this type of setup. Enjoy your new mower!
