HRT216 Transmission Cross-compatability?

Is there reason to think that a transmission for an HRT216K1SDA would fit my HRT216SDA? or does anyone KNOW with certainty it won't fit (I can GUESS as wildly as anyone...)?

Part for the later "K1" variant (20001-VG4-C02) is about $50, and looks like it has a plastic pulley. The part for mine (20001-VG3-B02) is $150, but seems dimensionally the same.

So the very first HRT216SDA was known as the K0 version. Changes were made (transmission), and so the version code bumped to K1. The bad news is a K1 trans. will not fit into a K0 frame, sorry.

Drop me a PM with the full serial number off the back of your mower deck and I'll confirm you have a older K0 version HRT....
