How to set valve on a 17hp kohler cammand engine

I have a craftsman rider,917.273140, with a 17hp kohler command engine that I wanted to adjust the valve on but when I took off the valve cover I realized these valves are different then the ones on briggs engine.

You will find some of the Kohler command engines have nonadjustable valves. They use hydraulic style lifters. I don't know what you have?
