I recently picked up a DC X2001, and cannot figure out how to lower the blades. The owner's manual says to press the mower deck lift pedal down, rotate foot, and then push down on bottom of the pedal.

I tried, but it didn't seem to do anything or maybe I did something incorrectly.

Does anyone out there have a demonstration of this or can provide a dummy-proof explanation on how to lower the DC's blades?

Any help would be much appreciated!

I think I can make out what he was doing. I really appreciate it!

Yes very bad quality video but he just pushed very hard on the lower half of the pedal.
