How long will a full size football field take to cut using a 42" 24hp zero turn ?
Anyone use a machine to do this sort of size. Thanks.

To make the math easy a typical football field would be around 75k sq ft. One acre is 43,560 sq ft your mower is 3 and a feet i would speculate you could mow that in just over an hour.

I run a 48" Kubota Zero Turn and if the grass is not too tall and the ground is smooth you it will cut it between 30 and 45 minutes I would guess. It will cut at 7 to 9 MPH.
My Kubota is 22 hp gas.

Actually a football field is 57,600 sq. ft. It's 360 feet long or 120 yards including end zones x 160 ft wide or 53 and1/3yards. With a 42" mower cutting at 7 to 9 mph shouldn't take you any longer than 2 hours top, that's including the perimeters.
