I have given the snowcab some thought. I was wondering how would you keep the windshield clean? It just seems like you would get a lot of snow on the outside and frosted over on the inside. Maybe something with wiper blades? Not only would it give you protection from weather it would give some added weight. It sure would be interesting to see what you come with.
If your pushing snow, you can get by without wipers, usually...
But if you are blowing snow you will find many times you will need wipers... :smile:KennyV
if you choose to use a solid front window, you might get lucky TREATING the window with RAIN-X.If you use plow or blower your still subject to 'white out' conditions. i seriously don't think wipers will help in blowing conditions. your best bet is to work with the wind and not against it.
I purchased a vinyl cab for my snowblower and it was $ well spent. It is built out of aluminum tubing with all 3 sides heavy duty vinyl. Rarely does the snow stick to it, but I carry a snow brush just in case.
