Mower deck Have a mower deck with electric PTO

I have a mower deck with an Electric PTO. It will only engage one time a day. Even the first engagement may take 30 seconds before it engages. After it engages it works great until I turn it off. Any ideas of what the issue may be?

Does your clutch have the three bolts with springs above them. If so there should be a slot next to each spring. Slide an .012 feeler gauge in the slot between the two plates, and adjust the nuts to achieve that clearance all the way around, and see what happens. Adjust them slowly, because adjusting one effects the other two.

are you sure your battery is ok? I had an issue where my mower was not charging well and the pto acted up. it would start but the pto would turn back off or not engage.
