Hi everyone. I have a snow blower with a Tecumseh H70 engine. I need to remove the carb to rebuild / clean it as the unit has been sitting for 5+ years. The issue i'm running into is the nuts hold the carb on are spinning on the bolts itself. Is there a trick at getting these off when this happens?

I tried removing the phillips head screws to take the entire unit off (kill switch/carb/mount) but one of the screws is badly stripped.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Mike

On that unit you will have to remove the intake manifold. If the head is badly stripped, you may have to drill the bolt head off and after removing the carb, work on removing the rest of the bolt. Just one of the problems on working on these old Snow Kings. Great engine, just sometimes a pain in the _____ to work on.
