GT 275 Back Firing

Hello,

I started my GT 275 up Saturday with no problems it ran great. I had just replaced the PTO oil seal as it had been leaking. After I started the JD the oil light came on and stated on. I ran the JD outside and let it cool down, then I washed it off. I then let it sit for awhile and started it back up so that it could warn up and dry. I ran the JD down the drive way and half way back it made a loud backfire and stopped. Now it will not start and just back fires.

Here is what I have done. I sprayed carb cleaning in the intake to see if I had a carburetor issue. Result: No start.

So I checked the sparkplug: Orange spark but a decent spark.

Next I checked the cylinder compression: I got 80 pounds twice. And there was not apparent leakdown either.

I would think it should start with 80 pounds at least?

What should the compression on the FC540V Kawasaki be?

Thank You

After letting the JD sit for a day, I went back and tried it again. It started right up and ran just fine. I am guess that water somehow was preventing the unit from starting. Where I the water was I don't know, but I never get the key switch or the circuit board behind the key wet.
