Gravely Zt2044 problems

I have a gravely Zt2044. I replaced the key switch after previous owner disassembled the entire wiring assembly for the key switch. with the choke on the engine will only run for a brief second and without the choke wont start at all. ive replaced air and fuel filter with no change. Any ideas?
